The Commission has launched a call for tender for a study into measures that could strengthen innovation and competitiveness in biotechnology across the EU.
The study will help with the preparation of the Biotech Act, by identifying concrete measures to enhance the EU’s biotechnology ecosystem.
It will support evidence-based policy-making by looking into potential policy scenarios, including in research, development, market uptake and regulatory frameworks.
The Biotech Act, due in 2026, will contribute to reinforcing Europe’s position as a global leader in cutting-edge, safe and sustainable biotechnologies.
Interested parties are invited to consult the full tender documentation and submit their offers by 26 June 2025.
