All EU Member States are members of the ACN, where they are represented by their Single Contact Point (SCP). Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Switzerland are members through an agreement with the EU. The European Commission is also a member of the ACN, maintaining and further developing it while monitoring information transmitted. Regarding frauds, the specific contact points of the Agri-Food Fraud Network (FFN) are the only ones having access to fraud notifications.
As Northern Ireland has a special status being part of the internal market, a special arrangement has been agreed between the Food Safety Authority of Northern Ireland and the European Commission to ensure that Northern Ireland can continue to report to EU Member States and the Commission findings within the scope of the ACN, receive information, request cooperation and respond to requests from ACN members
