EU Register

The Commission has established the European Union Register of Feed Additives, which is regularly updated, and it makes reference/links to the relevant authorisation Regulations. Those Regulations include the specific requirements for placing the additives on the EU and EEA market.

This Register is composed of three parts:

  • First part: Annex I (released 6 December 2022) – contains the list of modifications to the Register and the current authorisations.
  • Second part, Annex II (released 26 November 2022) - contains a list of additives that will be withdrawn in the short term. Also includes those for which a date is indicated in the column "Expiry date of Authorisation". Those additives are no longer allowed to be placed on the EU market if that date is expired.
  • Third part, Appendix 3e, list of modifications to the Register for versions 1 to 278 is now available on page Appendix 3e (released 28 January 2022). The former appendixes 3a to 3d are deleted.

n.b. The Register has only informative purposes and does not replace Community legal acts. The Community legal acts concerning the authorisation of each additive entered in the Register constitute the legal basis for the placing on the market and use of the additives concerned.
