Advisory groups

The advisory groups were created to reinforce the Commission’s commitment to consult stakeholders in an open and transparent way early on in the policy-making cycle. They examine policy proposals in-depth at regular meetings.

DG Health and Food Safety runs the following advisory group:

Action platforms

DG Health and Food Safety also favours more flexible ways of cooperation with its stakeholders, either public or private, for profit or non-governmental organisations. To pursue EU-defined public goals, DG operates a number of action platforms.

The existing platforms are:
Platforms created before 2016 (Stakeholders who are members commit to concrete actions within their scope and area of competences to help attain some of the major goals of the EU Health and Food Safety Directorate General).

Platforms created from 2016 and onwards with a specific mandate:
