Legislation:

Maximum levels have been established for erucic acid in vegetable oils and fats, in foods containing added vegetable oils and fats and in infant formulae and follow-on formulae by Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 of 19 December 2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs.

Monitoring recommendations agreed at the Standing Committee

Following the conclusions of EFSA opinions, the Standing Committee agreed on recommendations for monitoring of the following plant toxins (in addition to published Commission Recommendations): tropane alkaloids and pyrrolizidine alkaloids.
